Empowering Creators and Fans: Contentos Launches Channel VIP to Redefine Web3 SocialFi Landscape

We’re excited that 2024 is starting off with a huge milestone in the world of crypto finance: the passage of the Bitcoin ETF! Contentos has been consistently working with the entire industry to promote the widespread adoption and popularity of Web3, and this vision is now clearer than ever.
Growth in internet infrastructure and users that led to innovation in the Web2 era, and the various business models of centralized platforms that have provided people with different choices for self-realization through social interactions are now all facing challenges from slowing growth. This trend has led us to embark on the path of building on Web3. Everyone has social and creative power and wants to connect the world in a more open, equal, and genuinely supportive way and we believe Web3 will empower people to tap into this power.
The goal of the Contentos Foundation has always been to create large-scale applications that offer fair monetization and simplified interaction for global creators with their fans. Starting from the initial content mining on the mainnet, Peer 2 Peer Gifting Vote, advertising profit-sharing model, subscription to exclusive content through $COS tokens, and COS.SPACE Expo’s exclusive VR space for creators, to the SocialFi service Channel VIP released in Q4 2023, each of our product release and update seeks to establish a more optimized monetization model for creators and facilitate easier and more direct interaction with their fans. Through continuous product releases and updates, we remain focused on exploring ways to enhance the revenue model for creators and provide more exclusive methods for fan interaction.
Channel VIP is our latest attempt at creating a mechanism for creators to interact with their core fans. During the testing period of this service, which requires holding PASS to join creators’ Private Chat Room, we witnessed many new and creative interactive behaviors. For instance, creators can use Channel VIP groups to announce content release schedules, send VIP-only messages, engage in discussions on high-quality content, and send rewards to incentivize fan participation.
During the testing period of Channel VIP 1.0, we also observed exciting data results. Firstly, the daily transaction volume for PASS surpassed millions of COS tokens, significantly benefiting the utility of COS tokens. Secondly, active and enthusiastic Room owners, through gamified interactions with fans, led to a lively market for Private Chat Room PASS transactions, reaching over 1,000 transactions per day on average. These observations demonstrate the immense potential of Channel VIP as a SocialFi and ContentFi product.
We believe that ContentFi and SocialFi will play crucial roles in the specialization and diversification of social content platforms. Contentos will focus on an in-depth development of Web3 SocialFi services in 2024, building Channel VIP for a larger audience of creators, fans, and content investors based on the foundation of the Contentos mainnet, COS.TV, and COS.SPACE.
Three different user groups with distinct attributes will collectively support the growth of the entire ecosystem: content creators, VIP fans, and content investors. Content creators will closely interact with PASS holders in VIP Rooms, sharing valuable information or content. VIP fans will gain access to exclusive spaces and other privileges by holding PASS. Content investors, through the analysis of a creator’s Share of Voice (SOV) and growth potential, can prequalify for entry, support transactions, and take advantage of arbitrage opportunities. Channel VIP’s pricing strategy for Room PASS and Room interaction modes will receive major updates, providing creators with more flexible options.
Channel VIP aims to become a Web3 SocialFi Exchange, offering creators the ability to issue and sell BRC-20 tokens, BRC-20 token-based loans, NFT airdrops, and create fan missions. It will support various token swaps through integration with third-party external Web3 wallets. Collaboration with external partners will bring creators from Web2 platforms, making the experience accessible to everyone.
SocialFi has changed the economic model of interaction between content creators and fans, and Channel VIP will significantly increase the use cases and liquidity of COS tokens. Furthermore, Channel VIP’s related APIs will be open to third-party developers, allowing community developers to create various tools, making sharing experiences and investment decisions more convenient.
As a long-term goal, building on the development of COS.TV AI, we expect to introduce more AI recommendations and personalized interactions to Channel VIP. AI tools will enable creators to respond to fans without being online 24/7 and give investors the opportunity to identify the most valuable potential creators.
Finally, the development of Web3 undoubtedly includes the construction and innovation of the metaverse. Virtual reality experiences are crucial for enhancing fan interaction for creators and will be an important monetization mechanism for creators. COS.SPACE Reality currently supports Meta Quest 3 and Contentos will continue to monitor the progress of Apple Vision Pro and mainstream VR devices, staying actively involved in the development of the metaverse.
